Neag School of Education Teacher Education Academic Technology Program

Academic Technology Program: Hardware & Software Specifications

For the first time in the history of the program, the Neag School of Education will be standardizing on Apple hardware. Due to the video editing assignment being a key component of the Teacher Education program, and the superior performance of the Apple hardware at accomplishing this task, all students will receive the 13" MacBook. To accomodate possible Windows software requirements, the machines will be loaded with a virtualization application that allows students to run MS Windows as an application on the machine. The Windows version of the MS Office Suite will also be loaded within the virtualization environment. We believe this provides the Teacher Education students with the best possible value and greatest learning potential.

2008-2009 Specifications

TCPCG candidates will receive an Apple MacBook computer for the 2008 - 2009 academic year.
