Academic Technology Program Fee

The fee includes use of the Neag School of Education notebook, licensing of software on the notebook, extended warranty coverage, on-site support services, damage & theft insurance on the notebook for the length of the lease and a five year TaskStream subscription.   Fees are set by program and are as follows:

2008-2009 TCPCG students:    $480.00 per semester (including two summer semesters)

2008-2011 IB/M students:   $470.00 per semester

2008-2011 IB/M - MUSIC students :   $595.00 per semester (two year program)

 

Notebook Buy-Out Fee

The notebook buy-out fee will be assessed to any student who fails to return the notebook by the lease end date.   If the Neag school of Education does not have the notebook to return to the leasing company, the Neag School of Education will be charged the buy-out fee for that notebook.   In turn, that fee will be passed on to the student who failed to return the notebook by the lease end date.   Notebook buy-out fees are as follows:

TCPCG students:       $450.00

IB/M students:             $470.00

IB/M - MUSIC students:             $470.00

The end of lease date will be noted on your student Terms and Conditions agreement.

 

Non-returned Notebook Fee:

As per the Academic Technology Program Agreement Terms & Conditions, the notebook must be returned immediately if there is any change in your status as a Neag School of Education student.   Any change must be communicated in writing to:

If the student fails to return the notebook within 2 weeks of the change, the balance of the lease fees plus the buy-out fee will be assessed to the student's account.
