JOSEPH W. SMEY, '68 EdD, PT ENDOWED SCHOLARSHIP IN PHYSICAL THERAPY

Description of Award:

This scholarship was established in honor of Dr. Joseph W. Smey, professor in the Department of Physical Therapy. The purpose is to provide scholarship support for University students enrolled in the Neag School of Education’s Department of Physical Therapy.

Award Parameters:

• Be a student enrolled in the Physical Therapy program
• Demonstrated academic achievement
• Demonstrated financial need
• Priority consideration, but not an absolute preference, will be given first to students who demonstrate exceptional leadership capability and second to students who are members of a federally recognized under-represented group.
