Research Laboratories

Collaborative Technology Center (CTC)
is central to the NSoE’s commitment to equipping and supporting its faculty and students with the latest in educational technology. Included in the flexible space is a homework cafe and three high-tech classrooms for local and distance learning.

Human Performance Laboratory
consists of nine distinct laboratories located in Gampel Pavilion. Researchers from the Department of Kinesiology work collaboratively with colleagues across campus and from other institutions and organizations for a wide range of research, including but not limited to: strength and conditioning, weight loss, reproductive physiology and environmental physiology.

New Literacies Research Laboratory
a consortium of professors, graduate research assistants, school districts, policy makers, teachers, and school leaders seeking to identify the new literacy skills and strategies required on the Internet and other communications technologies, and identify the most effective instructional practices to develop these new strategies in the K-12 classroom.

Sport Management & Sociology Laboratory
involves faculty and graduate student research and outreach focused on sports marketing, management, organizational theory and behavior in sport, particularly through a sociological lens such as gender, race or diversity.

Measurement and Assessment Lab
involves the faculty from the Measurement, Evaluation, and Assessment program. Both theoretical and applied research is conducted in educational measurement, assessment and statistics. The lab also serves as a resource in assessment to the state and nation.
