Title of Project:             "Assessing the impacts of a school based physical activity intervention program (Paw PALS) on physiological and psychosocial measures in obese children"

Amount of Award:             $21,366.00

Research Objectives:            

The objectives of this research project are to assess the impacts of a school based physical activity program on key physiological markers of obesity on a group of obese children.   In addition to physiological markers, psychological factors influencing children's physical activity behavior will be assessed, specifically attraction to physical activity and perceived competence in athletics.
