Husky Sport

 

Mission:

Husky Sport’s goal is to both reinforce and teach the making of positive life choices among Hartford North End children through the following four areas:

1. Healthy nutrition
2. Relevant and transferrable life skills (e.g., respect, communication, leadership)
3. Exposure to varied sports and physical activities
4. Academic opportunity and excellence

This mission is carried out by UCONN affiliated mentors (undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, and staff), in partnership with the City of Hartford, the Hartford Public Schools, and the Catholic Worker House.
