An Impressive Accomplishment!

The American Psychological Association (APA) recently honored Dr. Hariharan Swaminathan with the 2007 Jacob Cohen Award for Distinguished Contributions to Teaching and Mentoring. Dr. Swaminathan is a professor and department chair in the Department of Educational Psychology.
The award, given to an individual demonstrating excellence in teaching and mentoring, is based on nominations by students, former advisees, and colleagues. The APA specifically recognized Dr. Swaminathan's contributions to the field of measurement research and the “impressive number” of his former students who have achieved positions of prominence in measurement research and teaching.
As part of this honor, Dr. Swaminathan has been asked to make a presentation at the APA’s annual convention which will be held in San Francisco in August.
