Applying to the Neag School of Education
Teacher Certification Program for College Graduates (TCPCG)
To apply to the Teacher Certfication Program for College Graduates:
1. Applications are accepted starting September 1. Complete the Online Application to the Graduate School. Application deadline is December 1.
2. Mail the following materials, in one completed packet, to the Graduate School:
• Official transcripts of all collegiate work
completed to date
• Three letters of reference
• Personal statement
• CT Residence Affidavit
• Successful test results on Praxis I or proof of waiver*
• Evidence of having taken appropriate content area
Praxis II test (Note: All candidates need to have
taken their respective Praxis II exam(s) prior
to beginning the program)
• TOEFL scores (international students)
• A resume of not more than two pages*

The Admissions Committee will review only completed applications and support materials. Applicants who satisfy the minimum qualifications determined by the faculty are invited to participate in a required preadmission faculty team interview.
