Teacher Certification Program for College Graduates (TCPCG)

Program Completion Requirements

In order to complete the TCPCG program and be eligible for the University of Connecticut's recommendation for teaching certification, the student must satisfactorily complete all course work and clinical experiences, receive a passing grade on the MA examination, and pass all relevant PRAXIS II or equivalent examinations required by the state .

The MA examination for TCPCG students will take place during the spring semester of the program and will consist of two parts: the satisfactory submission of an electronic teaching portfolio to the advisory committee, and a common written examination taken by all students in each certification area.
