Internship in Program Evaluation - Goals
A structured internship experience offers the student an opportunity to work on real-world problems and apply their education and skills to make a genuine impact in Connecticut communities. The goal of the internship experience is to allow students to successfully integrate their academic knowledge within a suitable field experience, while at the same time improving organizational capacity for evaluation. The result is enhanced student growth, both intellectually and professionally, and improved educational programs and services that are built on rigorous inquiry and evidence-based practice. Deliverables of the internship experience will be determined in collaboration with the sponsoring agency, and may include a culminating report describing the project, task, methods, results, etc. This report may also serve as the student's residency project.
