Athletic Training Education Program

Admissions Process for Transfer Students

A prospective athletic training student wishing to transfer into the University of Connecticut Athletic Training Education Program from another educational institution must first meet and follow the University Transfer Admission process. In addition students must meet the following criteria:

1. Be enrolled as a University of Connecticut student
2. Be enrolled in EKIN 161/162 and EKIN 264 during the fall semester they plan to make application
3. Submit an application packet to the Neag School of Education to meet the October 1st deadline. 
4. Must hold a minimum of a 2.2 GPA.
5. Students must submit official college transcripts to the Office of the Registrar and to the Program Director.

 

Note: Transfer students must complete all athletic training coursework and clinical experiences at the University of Connecticut (no credits from previously taken athletic training classes will be accepted) unless extenuating circumstances exist. All final decisions regarding transfer students will be made by the Director of Athletic Training Education and Director of Entry Level Athletic Training Education. Students should allow at least three years to complete the program.
