UCAPP - Program Goals
The focus of UCAPP centers on five goals that collectively comprise the mission of the program:
• To identify and recruit people with strong potential for
leadership positions in school administration.
• To involve high quality practicing administrators as mentors
for students during their internships.
• To strengthen the relevancy of administrator preparation
through the integration of course work and internships.
• To create and strengthen relationships among school
districts, the University, and professional organizations.
• To prepare students to be effective leaders in their schools
and communities, strengthening their awareness of the
complexities of schooling, and becoming competent,
proactive, and confident leaders in their responses to
problems, issues, and change.
