Administrator Preparation Program
UCAPP is a two-year program designed for working professionals who aspire to positions in school leadership. Students who successfully complete the 32 credit UCAPP program are awarded a Sixth-Year Diploma in Educational Administration. They also become eligible for endorsement for Connecticut State Certification as Intermediate Administrators. UCAPP has been in existence since 1990 at the Hartford/Storrs campus, and UCAPP expanded its program to the Stamford campus in 1995. The program is a unique blend of course work and an internship experience, and is based on the firm belief that students aspiring to leadership positions must integrate academic knowledge with real-world experiences in actual educational settings.
