Adult Learning Program

From a former graduate student, Adult Learning Program:

"I became interested in the Adult Learning Program when the organization I worked for wanted me to help create a learning environment in my business unit. Although I'd been involved in workplace learning for years, as a team manager, I wanted to know more about the theories and research in the field of adult and workplace learning. Not only have I developed excellent research skills that I use on the job, I've worked collaboratively on projects with student colleagues from a variety of professions."

The M.A. and Ph.D. programs in Adult Learning develop the capacity of professionals to translate theory into practice by exploring how and why adults learn. These programs are grounded in the principles and methods that improve adult learning practices. Students participate in a learning community of adult professionals and have the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge adult learning and human resources research. Our expert faculty employ unique approaches to learning that support and challenge students as adult learners. Evening class times recognize the scheduling needs of employed professionals.
