Master's Program
Our master's students are prepared to serve as instructional leaders in elementary and secondary schools. Areas of concentration offered include: bilingual education and TESOL.
The Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Bilingual Education has been designed for in-service, bilingual (in any of the language groups served by bilingual education programs throughout the state), K-12, certified Connecticut teachers. This includes in-service teachers serving ELL students in a bilingual, ESL, or mainstream classroom settings. This also includes content area, special education, and support service educators who meet the aforementioned language, certification, and residency requirements.
The Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on TESOL has been designed for in-service, K-12, certified Connecticut teachers. This program targets teachers serving bilingual learners in a bilingual, ESL, or mainstream classroom setting, who do not meet the aforementioned second language requirement of the M.A. in Bilingual Education program.
