Project M3 - Mentoring Mathematical Minds

Dr. Kathy Gavin is the principal investigator for a $3 million Javits grant from the U.S. Department of Education. She is leading a team of national mathematics education experts from UConn, the University of Northern Kentucky and Boston University in developing new elementary math materials focused on advanced thinking skills and student-centered learning. The pilot program is as focused on improving student attitudes about math, as it is on improving achievement. For more information, please see the project website.
