Endowed Faculty
Establishing endowed faculty positions is a key factor in the Neag School's strategic plan for advancement. Both endowed chairs and professorships help attract established researchers who are grateful to have more time to pursue their research rather than continuously pursing funding. Endowments also allow them more freedom to follow their own course of research rather than being bound by the parameters of a research grant.
The Neag School's three endowed chairs and one endowed professorships were made possible by significant contributions from Ray Neag, including a $1.6 million gift in 1996 and another $21 million in 1999.
