Internet Reading Comprehension
The New Literacies Research Lab has received a $1.8 million three-year research grant from the U.S. Department of Education to study the new literacies of reading comprehension on the Internet. The goal is to identify the critical new skills and strategies students need to be successful at reading and learning with online information. It will also study the best way of teaching these new literacies. Dr. Donald Leu, the John and Maria Neag Chair in Literacy and Technology, and his team have partnered with Clemson University for this project.
