Teaching Excellence for all Connecticut Educational Personnel

With a $1.3 million federal training grant through the No Child Left Behind act, Dr. Millie Gort is leading an effort to prepare Connecticut's teachers for the growing number of bilingual students in their classrooms. Her team is conducting needs-based professional development, workshops and conferences to address certification and training of bilingual and mainstream teachers.
